The lodge is in a great location, just minutes from pubs, bars and restaurants. For breakfast we recommend The Greenroom, which is located in Peterville just a couple of minutes walk away or Genki, just a few minutes walk down the hill. The Taphouse and Bear Bar are also located in Peterville which are great for lunch, and there's also a chinese restaurant and takeaway. If you head down the hill towards the beach, which is a 10 minute walk, we recommend the Driftwood Stars as nice traditional pub or Schooners overlooking the beach. Finally, there are more great pubs and restaurants in the village which is a 10 minute walk up the hill. Places to check out include Taste, St Agnes Hotel and Shellfish Beach. The main village is a 10 minute walk up the hill and has a papershop, butchers, two bakeries, two convenience stores, a takeaway pizza place, fish and chip shop and various gift shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. Local beaches include Trevaunance Cove which is a 10 minute walk down the hill, Trevellas Cove, which is a 20-30 walk along the coastal path and Chapel Porth which is a 5 minute drive away. We recommend walking the beautiful coastal path to the beach. This is located just a couple of minutes away and enables you to avoid the road when walking to the beach. The views are amazing. It's also worth the 5 minute drive to Wheal Coates on St Agnes head. One of the locations for Poldark, there are breathtaking view down the coast towards St Ives.
Local transport links are pretty good. There is a bus stop in Peterville, just a couple of minutes walk away, where you can catch a bus to a number of locations. There is also a taxi rank in Peterville too. Newquay Airport is 22 miles away and has direct links to London and other major cities in the UK. Truro and Redruth Railway Stations are both approximately 8 miles away and have direct links to London and other parts of the country.
